We do not sell personal information and we run no advertising trackers. We do use Google Analytics on the homepage to see how many people visit. This page explains the small amount of information this website handles, and why.

What this policy covers

This policy covers highcourtlaw.com, operated by HighCourt Law LLC — this website only. It does not describe the HIGHCOURT software itself. HIGHCOURT runs entirely on hardware the firm owns and is designed to operate with no internet connection; matter files processed in the software never reach us and are not covered here, because we never receive them.

Information you give us

If you submit the briefing request form, we receive the details you type into it: your name, firm name, email address, the size band you select, and your message. We do not record your IP address or browser user-agent with the enquiry.

We use this to reply to you and to keep a record of the enquiry. It is stored on our own server, outside the public web directory, and is emailed to our internal address. It is not added to any advertising platform, CRM enrichment service, or mailing list, and it is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Analytics

The homepage uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-61HDVXS3W7) to count visits and see which pages and referrers bring people here. It records things like approximate location, device and browser, and the pages viewed. We use it for nothing beyond understanding traffic — no advertising audiences are built from it and it is not linked to any enquiry you send us.

You can opt out with Google’s official browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser or an extension. Nothing on the site breaks if you do.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. Apart from those, the website sets no cookies and uses no local storage.

If we have given you a private link to material held behind a sign-in, entering your access details sets a single session cookie. Its only job is to keep you signed in while you read. It carries no advertising or profiling data and expires when your session ends.

What we do not do

Third parties that see your request

To keep the site fast we load fonts and a few standard front-end libraries from public content delivery networks. When your browser fetches those files, the operator of that network necessarily sees your IP address, as it would for any website using them. The networks currently used are Google Fonts, jsDelivr/cdnjs, unpkg and the Tailwind CDN. One background photograph is served by Pexels. We do not pass any of them information about you, and none of them are used for analytics on our behalf.

Our web host processes ordinary server logs, including IP addresses, as part of running the server.

How long we keep things

Briefing enquiries are kept while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards as a business record. Access logs for the gated areas are kept for security review. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Write to us using the briefing form and say what you would like; we will not ask you to prove anything beyond enough to be sure it is your enquiry.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry records are stored outside the public web directory and are not reachable from a browser.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
